Only One in Four Americans Favor Health Care Reform, LIMRA Finds

WINDSOR, CT--(Marketwire - January 20, 2010) - Twenty-five percent of Americans surveyed favor the health care reform legislation proposed by Congress, according to a survey just conducted by LIMRA. "These results are not surprising given yesterday's election results in the Massachusetts senatorial race, where the winning candidate ran on a platform against the health care reform legislation," said Scott Kallenbach, associate research director, LIMRA strategic research. "With 86 percent of those surveyed saying they had health care coverage, we believe that many people are leery that the proposed legislation could affect their current coverage."
