MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - July 17, 2010) - The number of burglaries in the UK has dropped by 9%, according to latest British Crime Survey figures and improved security measures by homeowners are being highlighted as a key factor.
The latest British Crime Survey (BCS), published last week, revealed that overall offences fell by 9% from 10.5 million to 9.6 million in 2009/10 - the first time the total number of offences has dropped below the 10 million mark since records began.
