MyMedicalRecords Files Patent Infringement Complaint Against Walgreens
LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Jan 31, 2013) - MyMedicalRecords, Inc. ("MMR"), a wholly owned subsidiary of MMRGlobal, Inc. (OTCQB: MMRF), today announced the filing of a complaint for patent infringement against Walgreen Co. The complaint alleges that Walgreens is infringing on MMR's Personal Health Records patent, specifically U.S. Patent No. 8,301,466, and as a result, MMR is seeking monetary damages as well as a permanent injunction. As stated in the complaint, Walgreens is the nation's largest drugstore chain with fiscal 2012 sales of $72 billion, operating 8061 drugstores and providing services to over 6 million customers. The complaint was filed in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, case number CV 13-00631, on January 29 and is available on the court's website http://www.pacer.gov/.
