New Look Eyewear Inc. (Formerly Benvest New Look Income Fund) Releases its Results for the Second Quarter of 2010 and Announces its Quarterly Dividend

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Aug. 9, 2010) - New Look Eyewear Inc. (TSX:BCI) ("New Look"), the successor to the Benvest New look Income Fund, announced its results for its second quarter of 2010. The second quarter was a challenging quarter, but part of the process in building a better and more profitable business. Revenues were $17.4 million compared to $18.1 million in the previous year, a reduction of 4.2%. EBITDA(1) for the quarter was $1.8 million compared to $3.3 million in the previous year. Net earnings were $454,000 ($0.05 per share) compared to $1.7 million ($0.17 per unit) in the previous year. Revenues, profitability and earnings for the quarter were impacted by an unfavourable product mix and start-up problems in the laboratory with the implementation of the company's second HD lens production line.
