MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Jan. 31, 2010) - Swinton, the UK's leading high street insurance retailer is warning motorists to beware of the potentially dangerous effects of in-car navigation systems. It is estimated that around 14 million drivers now use satellite navigation systems. A survey of 1,200 Swinton car insurance customers showed that one in five had hesitated on a busy road as a result of their sat nav. One in fifty also admitted that their sat nav had either caused or nearly caused an accident.
